As a practising Cathar (in spirit), my life is governed by the importance of recognising the dualistic balance of the universe. Catharism was the heretical Christian sect which thrived in Southern Europe during the 12th and 13th century, The Albegensian Crusade against the Cathars in the early 1200s seeing the end of this most enlightened of cults. Catharism was revived at the turn of the last century, and is now thriving (in a small way), its doctrine based upon harmony and cosmic balance. 'Negatives' must exist in order for us to recognise 'positives'. There can be no Love without Hate, no God without Satan, and no Friend without (you guessed it) Foe.
Being a practising Cathar (in spirit), I am very much bound by my beliefs. The dualistic approach I take to life has been extended to Kittens in Underpants, and whilst I 'bless' 95% of the people mentioned in this site, the cosmic balance by which my life is governed would be somehow 'askew' if I did not 'blast' one or two total turds.
This understood, any requests to have certain pages removed from the 'Foe' section of Kittens in Underpants is an infringement on my right to practise my faith and (much as I'd love to comply) my hands are theologically tied.
Interestingly, the 'Foe' section is the most popular ('hit'-wise) of the entire site. People love this section. Why? Who knows. Maybe because by exposing just a handful of the miserable souls who have made our lives wretched, we are sticking up for everyone who has ever been lied to, betrayed, humiliated, cheated, threatened, hurt, aggravated and insulted.
This is the beauty of Catharism.
I am pleading theology - and I am resting my case.
Amanda.
