JAMAICA - BOB'S ISLAND PARADISE
Dis is me hoomland
As you can see, Jamaica is a ISLAND, wat depends on SHIPS and SEA FARING. Dis why moost of our towns are inland and in da middle a' da island.
POPULATION
"Popula-shun, widdin da na-shun." I is guessing, but me tinks it's about forty-two million (not counting Negril.)
RELIGION
A bit a' disand a bit a' dat. Mainly, we got NATION of ISLAM and RASTIFARIANISM (wot be me n' me Poison Floowah.) Zion. (Jah.)
ECONOMY
Da economy of me island is based on our natural resource (ganja) and on da export of our national drink (Red Stripe.) There is also a bit a' tourism, wat be uptoon top-rankin'. There don't be much work on da island, and lots a' da brudders and da sisters be livin' in bad conditions wid DA POVERTY.
Tourism the only way to get money into the country and give some a'da brudders and sisters a job.

Da traditional music of da island be REGGAE. Dis be broken doon into ROOTS, DANCEHALL, SKA, TOASTIN' and DUB (wat I did me Phd in.)
